Database problems by installing Joomla 1.5

Hello,
Can someone help me? I've uploaded Joomla and created an database in my hostingaccount. When I try to create a website I get the following message:

Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL.

I'have e no knowledge of PHP so please try to explane on a simple way.

Have you created a user and assigned permission to access the database?

Joomla Install

First thing you need to do to install joomla 1.3-1.5 native is chmod the install files to 777 permission this will aloow them to be writable

Db connections with DA to Joomla install screen should be Localhost then domain username (exp) username would be domain_joomla password the same domain_password

I named my joomla install site
my db reads domain_site for user password domain_pass
