Hello,

I have a big problem with dataskq. It doesn't work at all (should work in background but after adding a subdomain or domain there is no effect - sub/domain not resolves). I must make manual restart of httpd and named to start working new subdomain or domain at server.
When I try manual run of dataskq i have error "Segmentation fault" (also for debug mode).

In errortaskq.log and error.log there is nothing interesting about dataskq.

In /var/log/messages I have a lot of lines like this:
server kernel: [55186590.712463] dataskq[32512]: segfault at 312e312d ip 312e312d sp bfad1994 error 15
server kernel: [55181654.039357] run-parts[13309]: segfault at 804b000 ip 0804affc sp bfee0f5c error 15 in run-parts[8048000+3000]
server kernel: [55174713.383545] sed[13785]: segfault at 805203b ip 0805203b sp bfbf022c error 15 in sed[8052000+1000]

I need help to resolve that problem or need some workaround to restart apache and named (like dataskq do). I tried some solutions from this forum and DA KB but only I had more problems with whole DA.

Best Regards
Adam

In /var/log/directadmin there is nothing interesting in log files.

How I can make mentioned backtrace on the coredump (on Debian 5)?

Thanks for fast reply.

One more thing.
I see that file /usr/local/directadmin/dataskq is different than that from update.tar.gz. Something overriding this file somehow... When I upload manually original file from hdd - it is ok to firs dataskq run. Then file is replaced (different sizes) and i have segmentation fault.

Somebody had same or similiar prroblem with it?

Best Regards
Adam

Hello,

I know this thread is old, but apparently the same problem still exists. I'm running Custombuild on CentOS 6 (latest version), and since updating DA to what I believe is v1.48 (can't tell because ./build version doesn't return the installed version, but it must be the lastest pre May 1st 2015), trying to run dataskq invariably yields a segfault and DA won't start up, no matter what I do. I resarched and tried out everything I could find related to dataskq, on this forum and elsewhere, but didn't find a solution. Anybody got an idea?
