date in reseller backups

I would be interested in having the backup date in the reseller tar that way we could keep multiple days of backups and we would not have to over write each days backup.

Anyone else think this is a good idea? pros & cons?
SSH option would be nice aslo for resellers.

FTP and cron on user level also.

cons: Massive disk usage if you keep multiple sets of backups.

I dealt with this issue by creating directories for each day of the week on the ftp server that I was backing up to and then creating a separate backup schedule for each day of the week backing up into the appropriate folder. This gives me seven days of rotating backups.
