Debian Sarge Make PHP

While trying to install DA onto Debian Sarge I get this error while making php4

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lltdl
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [libphp4.la] Error 1
Welcome to DirectAdmin verion 1.23.3!
You are now about to run the install program. If DirectAdmin is already
installed, it may destroy previous data.

Cannot find ip in the ./scripts/setup.txt file
Permissions set
vps:/#

"cannot find -lltdl" looks like the first thing to look.

I was able to retrieve missing files with apt-get source ...

I checked the existence of the missing file

vps:/# ln -s libltdl.so.3 /usr/lib/libltdl.so
ln: `/usr/lib/libltdl.so': File exists
vps:/#

After trying the setup again I received the same error.

Perhaps I need some sleep ;-) I would be glad if you can provide me a hint to keep on. Did I still forget something to install or can I blame someone else like me ;-)

If this was a fresh installation, I would suggest emailing DA, this might be a bug in the DA installation script for Debian.

Is the DirectAdmin Support Email responding with a ticket number? I am not sure if the spam filter ate their response. So before sending them a mail again, I would like to know if there is a ticket system in the background?

There is no ticket system that I know of. Give them a little time.
