Hello,

I create a new account, and I can not connect to my default E-Mail with Thunderbird and POP3. Perhaps it's a problem because it's not @domain.com, and is just a username. I'm confused on how I could set this up correctly. Strangely enough, I can connect to IMAP without the @domain.com. Is there any way to get this working with POP3?

Thanks!

What error do you get when you try to connect? Also, when setting up POP3 account(s) in your e-mail software, you will need to enable SMTP authentication if you choose to use your hosting account for sending mail (instead of using your ISP's mail server).

It says it's the wrong information, even though I use the same password for my DA account.

Hmmm... Do you have the username setup correctly? Is the POP3 server setup to point at mail.yourdomain.com? Are you sure all of your settings in the mail client are correct? What happens to other user accounts for other domains, do they work?

I use vm-pop3d, all the other accounts have the same problem, and that knowledge base article did not work for me.

No. I can connect to other E-Mails with POP3 fine. Even more interestingly, I can connect to accounts I create on DA. The only one I can't connect to is the one that is automatically created with your account.

I'd try contacting DA support and see if they have any ideas. If they do, please post back so we know what the problem was. Sorry I could not give you any further help.
