Default email address behaviour

A few weeks ago I decided to merge all my domains onto a new server (CentOS with directadmin).

There are 10 domains and I have an issue with the default mail addresses created by directadmin during the creation of a new user.

The server is officially registered under a main domain (let's call it maindomain.com ).
When I send an email to the default email address -> no issues.

With other sites there is this issue: When I send an email to the default address for site 1 (lets call it [email protected] ) , I get an undeliverable mail message coming from [email protected]

This is with all the users I've created..

Does anyone recognize this and can someone help me with a solution to it?

Thanks :)

Hello,

It's highly recommended that you use hostname similar to server.maindomain.com or anything-else-here.maindomain.com.

- How to change your hostname

Thanks, but I'm not sure how this is going to help.. As suggested, the servername or the 'maindomain' account is already configured and for my 'domain1' I already have a DNS.

When I log on to the user level of 'domain1', I can see all pop boxes, including the default (which you can log on to using the directadmin login).
When I go to the terminal and search for all actual mailboxes, all the mailboxes are listed, except for the default one..

It's very confusing.
