I set up DA today, and was starting to experiment by setting up a personal website of mine. When I sent myself the welcome e-mail I noticed something funny at the bottom.

Code:
NS1:	ns1.fixmytech.com
NS1 IP:	unknown
NS2:	ns2.fixmytech.com
NS2 IP:	unknown

I have 2 static IP's I can use, but don't know how to assign them to the DNS in direct admin.

thanks in advance,

Adam

Not registered nameservers:
ns1.fixmytech.com
ns2.fixmytech.com

but don't know how to assign them to the DNS

I am not sure what you mean. Ip addresses are assigned to users and then all the domains under that user will use the ip address assigned to it.

And BTW the welcome email is a template that you can edit to say anything you want.

I understand how IP addressing works, but how do i go about associating the IP's with those ns server domains? I have a DNS service setup with editdns.net and played around with that to no avail.. You mention something about those server addresses not being registered.. How do i go about doing that?

I think that you don't understand very well how the DNS system works.

I suggest you read this post of mine.

If I'm wrong, try to explain yourself better :D I don't really get what's the problem.
