Hey All,

I just noticed i have some old directories inside my /var/www/html

For example a old phpMyAdmin-3.3.9.1-all-languages and a old roundcubemail-0.5

It seems these are not deleted themself, do i need to delete them and how?

Should i just delete the directory or is there a better way?
Where this unsafe> could people access these old phpmyadmin directorys?

i just noticed i can still connect to these directorys... so i guess this is a threat.

(*copy-ed the wrong thread from http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41224 *again sorry for putting it in the wrong place)

ok yes i know how to delete directories.
But my main question was, is this normal.. do i need to delete these "old" directories?

You don't need them. You can delete them.

If for some reason you need or want to keep them, but don't want anyone to be able to access them from the 'net, then you can chmod the directories 000.
