Hello, I made a blog website with RapidWeaver. This program also "publish" my site with only one click. It works perfectly, my site was in the air for a while now.
But today I wanted to upload a complete new website, which i again easly created with rapidweaver. But when i uploaded it, the old site was still there. "Offcourse, i first have to delete the old one, before the new one will work."

So, without thinking about it so much i login at my direct admin account and went to "file manager", and just deleted everything. Then i uploaded the new site, but now the site isn't working...
It doesn't matter to where i upload it;
-i tried uploading it to my ftp server path (which worked with the old site) /home/username/
-i then tried uploading it without filling in a path
-then i tried to upload it to the "public_html" map (which i had to re-create) because the help manual said that there your site files should go to.

But it all didn't work.

Now i remember the "public_html" map to have a green arrow image or something like that on it before i deleted it.. so maybe i have to create one of these kind of map again? ....but how?

In other words; how do i create the same situation in my file manager as it was when i uploaded the site for the first time??
Or how do i get my website to work again?

(some more info: in rapidweaver i only have to fill out the ftp server, username, password, path.)

You have to upload it to /home/username/domains/YOURDOMAIN.COM/public_html

Replace YOURDOMAIN.COM with your actual domain name.

no, didn't work. He actually created all the maps (home, USERNAME, domains etc. etc.) but the site is still not working.

isn't there a way to reset the whole file manager part of DirectAdmin? Because the first time it worked directly without any problems...

ok, i've got it working now!

because it also created the maps "/home/username/", i decided to narrow it down to: "/domains/MYWEBSITE.COM/public_html". And this works. I still think it's a bit strange, because before i had to put in a different path. But as long as it's working now...

thanks for the help!

I believe that is what scsi said. The file manager automatically puts you in /home/username just as ftp does, that's a given.

did not know that.
But anyway, that's why i said "thanks for the help", to thank him for the help..
