demo account - con't

I hope I put this post in the right place...

I created a demo account and created it as a subdomain so it can have it's own control panel and webspace (joe.domain.com). I did this because I needed to be able to enable some other applications to interact with that account to allow prospective users the chance to try out some of the features.
I would like to be able to have this account restore to its orignal state every two days (or so...) to help keep it clean and orderly.
Is there a "best way" to go about this?
I have no idea where to start...

Make a complete copy of, for example, user demo, to user democopy.

Then nightly (perhaps as part of cron.daily) run a script to copy all the files from demo to democopy.
