I am trying to get my DNS to work properly.
After my fresh install of DirectAdmin, it assigned me the following nameservers:
ns1.domain.com
ns2.domain.com
In this case, GoDaddy is the registrar that domain.com is purchased through. I went to the Domain Host Summary to enter in the nameservers there.
My dedicated server has 5 IP addresses. DirectAdmin is installed on the first, primary IP address.
At the registrar GoDaddy level, I put in the nameserver information and assigned them to 2 of the available IP addresses.
I thought this was all I needed to do to get the DNS working properly, but its not working at all.
If I tell a domain name the new DNS, once I wait for it to resolve, I continue to get a page not found error.
For example, I setup in DirectAdmin a user with the domain name domain.com and I can view the website fine using the IP address so I know the site is public html live but when I try to view it using the domain name, I get nothing. I tried using DNS report but it doesnt help me much:
http://www.dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=nextfighter.com
Can anyone please help me out here to get this resolved? Thanks in advance!
