certificate problem

hi,
i create a certificate but now when i login it says "Unable to verify the identity of as trusted site"... etc
i put few info when i created the certificate just:
isued to:
organization ME :)

issued by:
org : Me again

it has the fingerprints
in details it has my email, my city and country
serial number says 00-

then when i press "accept the certificate temporarily" it says.
you have attemped to connect with MY IP.
however the security certificate presented here belongs to "". It is possibles. etc

what do i do to autentificate the certificate?.. i created in a wrong way?
cordially,
strom

Certificates aren't issued for IP#s, but rather for FQDNs (Fully qualified domain names), which are called the "Common Name" when you get the cert.

The Common Name should be the same as the FQDN you use for your server logins.

If this doesn't help, please respond further.

Thanks.

Jeff

ok, thanks. it's just that i've still haven't setup the domains yet because i'm testing the box.
anyway the connection is encrypted anyway right?.
cordially,
carla

As long as the browser location bar begins with "https:" and the little lock at the bottom left or bottom right of your browser (depending on which browser you're using) is locked, your session is secure.

You can click on the lock for more information.
