We are happy to announce the release of DirectAdmin 1.670.

This release has a series of UI changes for Evolution. An upgrade for the Two-Step Authentication page in Enhanced. Support for access.log. And a series of smaller improvements and fixes.

The update should be automatically available for all installations subscribed to the current release channel.

We appreciate all the feedback on forums and issues reported in the ticketing system.

An update is released, it improves the compatibility with a very specific variant of menu customizations.
 
@41279 this is slightly out of scope for this release. System upgrade it is in the road-map to be added into DirectAdmin main service, not part of CustomBuild.

I understand, sorry ot, only that in the past I had updated the operating system directly from DA in the updates section.
Then I read that it had been removed.
I updated and at the moment I have not found any bugs
 
I see that something changed regarding the search bar. I used the bar at the top often to search for an account or domain name to directly go to that account. That bar is gone and replaced by a Search for pages button. That doesn't show the domains/accounts, unless I click on backend search. On the main dashboard page there is also a search bar at the top but not on other pages, so it will cost me at least one or more clicks extra.

Is it also possible to open that search with a keyboard shortcut? That would save me some mouse actions as well.

Customers start complaining. Terrible "improvement".

BUG: if you search an email account, get the result. And click to the result, all email accounts come up. This bug I already asked before, but still no fix. Before when the top search was available in Email Account section, I could use that for searching a specific email account. Now, the top search is only available in the dashboard, and with this bug, how to find out a specific email account? Need to go to several pages manually.

Can we have the old search back, please????
 
In the new UI I use Icons Grid. On a fresh installed server I add a domain name as administrator. Domain is accepted. Then when I go to DNS Management in User Level, I get a message that I cannot edit a domain that I do not own. I rolled back to the previous version and the problem is fixed.

@Copra thanks for report. Everything should start working once you select the new domain from the domain selector. But we will release a fix for this issue soon.
Thanks for the feedback on the search implementation. We are still in the process of restructuring how search will work. Our goal is to have separate flows for page search (quick navigation) and a search for user, email, domain (search for data on server). We expect more changes in the next release.
 
another bug
if you login with end user, softaculous works, but if you auto login to user from admin or reseller panel, softaculous show white page

An update is released with the following fixes:
  • Fixed plugins (softaculous and likely others) that were using internal API calls with cookie based authentication. Reported here.
  • Fixed Evolution issue where very specific menu customizations can prevent skin from loading.
  • When admin adds a domain it will be automatically selected as active domain (thanks @Copra).
  • Reverted back mod_lsapi version from 1.1-77 to 1.1-73. CloudLinux confirmed problem in the 77 version and will fix it in the 78. Reported here.
 
@fln Will we still need to wait another change for search bar until the next release, with no idea what's coming? Can't you bring back the old search bar, while you are testing the new one?
 
in some servers i can´t update to last version, why? if i try to update manually show

but lasted is 1.670
