DirectAdmin and MariaDB client

I have installed the latest version of DirectAdmin but I don’t know why MariaDB was installed without mariadb-client. it’s new practice? Can I installed mariadb-client from command line ? Do I need special configuration with DirectAdmin? My system is Alma linux 9.

No, nothing new, wasn't installed in Alma 8 and isn't installed in Alma 9 either. Why should it be installed?
In Almalinux 9 there is the mariadb-client-test binary.

I would like to install mariadb-client to manage user’s data bases from command line. Can I install mariadb-client, after that do I need to configuration from DirectAdmin side?

As far as I know you can just use mariadb or mysql to use as client in commandline mode.

In DA you can use phpmyadmin. I don't know what you want do manage from commandline. I don't think there is no mariadb-client binary anymore.
