Dear all,

I have one host in our data center, behind asa 5510. host has a private ip addres like 172.16.20.1, I have redirected public IP address to this host, but directAdmin diplays after installing:

server IP is 172.16.20.1

and link: http://172.16.20.1:2222

I have purchased license for public IP address, which is redirected to 172.16.20.1. all traffic like IP and ICMP is completely redirected to server. I can hot log into Admin Panel when typing http://public.ip.address:2222

how can I solve this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Add the public ip into directadmin.

Log into it using internal ip, go to ip management and add the esternal one, should work.

Neither with private IP?

Try add the ip from SSH so, and edit the /usr/local/directadmin/conf/directadmin.con

Actually there was a guide for install behind a firewall, you should need maybe to reinstall the server and contact [email protected] for that guide.

Thank you for instruction.

As I understand, I must create virtual Ethernet interface with public IP address (it must be licensed address) in my server?
If yes, how must I route traffic correctly?

The traffic is routed by your firewall as you did say.

I did that way some times, just follow the guide, as i did say, you will need to format the server.

No any other way to correct reconfigure it?
After format I must assign public IP to interface and connect server directly to internet without ASA?

Usually when instlaling DA with a LAN IP it should just not install.

So my guess is that you did instlal using the external IP?

I cannot know how is now your configuration, if is binding on internal IP's or external, but, my suggestion if you can is to be able to assigne the external IP directly to the server and set your firewall to work as "invisible filter"

I have executed command:
echo 1 > /root/.lan
then run setup.sh and installation was completed, but receive following error:

2012:08:12-04:08:11: The ip of this machine (172.16.20.1) does not match the ip in the license file.
Check the value of your ethernet_dev=eth0 setting in your /usr/local/directadmin/conf/directadmin.conf file and the output of /sbin/ifconfig
When I try to open page http://{url} I can see text:
Apache is functional Normally

I do not understand how and where can I add Public IP via SSH....

where did you get the instructions to do this if i may ask i need some help on this matter.

Im having a similar problem. Followed all those steps but DA wont stay started. When I installed I chose eth0 which had my lan IP but then said this wasnt my license IP and entered the proper IP when it asked. Ideas?

This is just a dev server, but I want to get this up and running before I go buy my beefy server in a datacentre.
