I have a raq4 that I need to migrate to another server (by Saturday
).
I would like to know from people who have used both Plesk and DA on what advantages DA has. (I am experienced in linux admin but like control panels as they make my life easier)
My current server (FC3) came with a Plesk license (but had little success with their migration agent, didnt migrate user's mbox folders to maildir, nor any of their home dirs, or any mysql databases). So I will do the migration manually anyway.
So my questions are:
Do you think it is worth paying for the DA lifetime licence or should I go with my free Plesk install? I ask because DA seems easier to use than Plesk, but my experience with both is limited; but i'd rather pay for DA if it will make my life easier in the long run)
Is migrating from a Raq easy?
Does DA support aliased domains (eg .net, .org, .co.uk all aliased to the same .com domain so all email boxes/websites are the same? (Plesk doesnt seem to support this like my old Raq)
Cheers,
EF
