DirectAdmin does not work

Hello guys,

I cannot reach to www.myserver.com:2222 - everything works fine but directadmin. I don't know why I cannot, is that possible to enable or disable it from root? or reboot it..

You probably blocked yourself. Check if your ip address is in: /usr/local/directadmin/data/admin/ip_blacklist

To restart directadmin do: /sbin/service directadmin restart
 
No, not really. None of the users cannot reach to the directadmin as well. Everything looks fine about directadmin, but it is not accessable at the moment...
 
Then check your firewall or list your real hostname here so people can see if it works.
 
Nobody has answers? Today I setup an oscommerce website, with an admin panel. It was like, www.xxx.com/admin - I put a password to that folder using directadmin, I guess that was the last thing that I have done from the directadmin, is that could be the problem??

C'mon guys.. nobody has answers...? directadmin answers neither... I need to sort this out immediately.. customers are waiting =S..
 
Are there errors in /var/log/directadmin/error.log

More then likely it is a firewall problem on the server.
 
Besides restarting directadmin im not sure how to fix that. You might want to email directadmin support.
 
grep 'diradmin' /etc/passwd

Other then that im not sure. Is the diradmin user missing?
 
I just solved the problem using help page of directadmin ;) my server's firewall was blocking it.. used /sbin/service iptables stop

LOL like I said in the beginning ... open port 2222 and you will be ok.
 
Well, actually that sounds weird though. How my server can block it after 10 days? ;) I've been using it since 10 days.. lol..
 
Depends on how you unblocked it, and whether you've rebooted or restarted firewall in the meantime. If you just unblock it from the command line it won't survive a reboot or a firewall restart.

How you make it do either depends (obviously) on which firewall you're using and which OS; if you want help with that be sure to let us know.
