DirectAdmin FTP & File manager not working probely when more than 2 domainnames user.

Step to produce:
- Create a user
- Add a domainname ""domain1.com" (this will be primary domainname)
- Save
- Login as user
- Add a other domainname "domain2.com"
- Save
- Logout user
- Login as user
- Select in domainmanager "domain2.com"
- Select File manager
- Now you will see content of "domain1.com" instead of "domain2.com"

When you ftp to "domain2.com" you will see the content of "domain1.com"

What files do you see when you load File manager? You should see all the files located in the user's root home directory.

When you login, do not click on public_html in /home/username folder, because that is shortcut to primary domain's public_html. To see files of domain2 go to (home/username/domains/domain2/public_html)

Yes there is. I think it's called default domain in original DA skin.

default does not equal primary in any way.

There is so much wrong with that statement I don't know where to start.

The old way. Every time you add a domain the default domain changes to the newly added domain.

The /public_html directory at the root of your account is actually a link to /domains/yourdomain.com/public_html. If you have more than one domain hosted on your account, this link will forward you to the public_html directory of the last domain created on your account.

However this has been changed for new accounts.

Primary domain as many have seen in Cpanel is where all addon domains are actually under the primary domain in the directory structure. DirectAdmin does not do this.

In DirectAdmin all domains are equal. There is no primary domain. There is not even a default domain in newer accounts as of version 1.315.

Under the older way.

- Add a domain name ""domain1.com" (This is the default domain)
- Save
- Add a other domain name "domain2.com" (Now domain2.com is the default domain)
- Save

Let's stop the arguing. The right answer is post #3, above, from sce. Possible misuse of the word primary notwithstanding.

Jeff

I wasn't arguing anything. I was simply stating the facts because it was very relevant to the question.
