DirectAdmin License and Latest Version

Hello,

I purchased a DirectAdmin lifetime license in 2019. I'm planning to install it now.

Will the installation process automatically provide the latest version of DirectAdmin, including all security patches?

Additionally, what PHP version is recommended for optimal performance and compatibility with the latest DirectAdmin features?

I'm planning to install it now.

That's quite late since it's legacy already. So latest Mysql you can install is 8.3 and latest Mariadb 10.6, no further upgrades possible anymore from DA to 8.4 or resp. 10.11.

The installation will provide the latest version of DA including all security patches for DA. For the OS you have to update that yourself. I suggest updating the OS prior to installing Directadmin.

As for system default I would suggest PHP 8.2 or 8.1 and you can additionally install others like 8.3 (and 8.2 or 8.1 depending on what you choose as primary/default php version).
