What is the directadmin mailing list system capable of? How does it send emails and does it affect the server load/performance?

What if i were to send 100,000 emails? And what about a VPS?

Please give me details on this software add-on for the directadmin control panel.

DA uses majordomo. It's a simple perl script.

It can easily send a thousand, even thousands, of messages, but of course it will affect your server load.

I can't say by how much, because I don't know anything about your server.

But it's an ancient script, and was written when servers ran i386/100 mhz.

So it's fairly efficient. But because of it's age it has severe limitations, and it's hard to configure it to send moserated html emails (for example).
