Hey,

I've recently abandoned my hosting company, and therefore no longer need my DirectAdmin lincence (unlimited).

First I thought of selling it, however I think it's too good an asset to loose :D

I was thinking of running it on my personal virtual server (with 64Mb RAM). What do you think? How would the performance of the server be? Security (CentOS)? Would I be able to diable serices that I don't need?

As long as you have enough resources, DA will happily work on a virtual server; it probably won't even know the difference.

I believe you'll need a minimum of 128MB, though.

Depending on how the virtual server is provisioned you'll probably have to set up the IP#s manually through your VPS control panel.

The DA install on CentOS will delete everything it doesn't want on the server.
