Hello,

Sorry if this has been asked before!

Our previous IT manager has left the company, and we are unable to login to the DirectAdmin web panel or the root server since the password and logins were not passed onto us.

I’m not too familiar with the whole set-up, but we do need to access the web panel in order to modify a few of our PHP codes.

I tried the “Forgot Password” option, however we don’t have the username either (so we don't receive the email).

I can go to the Root Server (at least I think that's the root server). But it's asking me to login as well:

"Login to webserver.ctdsip.com"

Is there any way to reset the password so we can log in to the web panel?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,

If you have no admin pasword (by default you should login as admin into directadmin), then you can reset it in root SSH.
If you have no root password you should refer your OS documentation on how to reset root password in a single mode.

And Frank, in the future it might be a good idea to keep the DA admin and root passwords in a secure location, like the company vault or something.

I don't know on what kind of terms you and the previous IT manager parted, but maybe you could ask the guy for the passwords?
