Is it possible to set the direct admin user ( account name )
to work like a standard mail account.
for example
the admin account for directadmin only requires you to login to webmail as admin
you cant login as [email protected] for which youve set your server up as.
This pose's a problem, when sending email from the webmail system logged in as only "admin" it appends what ever the hostname that you put in to firefox/ie as the trailing domain eg [email protected]
If someone replys, they will eventually get a bounce back, because @webmail.yourprimarydomainname.com doesnt recieve email as only yourprimarydomainname.com does.
I realized this can be changed in the settings of webmail to set the from address and the persons full name however this shouldnt be a manual process.
Is it possible to make that admin account login with a full email address instead of just the unix username ? Which would obviously elimate this problem.
If not, what solutions do people have in place to get rid of this head ache.
