We are happy to announce the release of DirectAdmin 1.673.

The release adds a new feature to use different theme colors when switching between user and admin mode, fixes long-standing bugs in the e-mail account management page, speeds up phpMyAdmin SSO integration, and more smaller improvements.

A full release change log is here:

DirectAdmin 1.673

The update should be automatically available for all installations subscribed to the current release channel. Auto updates will start on Monday.

We appreciate all the feedback on forums and issues reported in the ticketing system.

Thanks!

I think this is on all recent versions..

When you have a login_pre.sh script (in my case, to lock the admin user to my home IP), when you use Log in as..., the orange box appears with The request is forbidden by login_pre.sh... You are logged in to the user, though.

Is this by design, or?

Installed a new box today, in custom build at options at the bottom of the page there is a huge white area that falls outside the browser area.

The login as user button and other buttons are not properly centered on mobile view.

It looks like the "DNSSEC" button under Server Management -> DNS Administration -> <Pick a domain> is no longer functional.

Yeah that's strange, there's still no hotfix for it. So you cannot create dnssec via an admin on the latest release.

Thanks for the feedback, an update is release with the following fixes:
  • Broken DNSSEC link, thanks @kristian
  • Large empty space in CustomBuild settings, thanks @exlhost
  • Buttons on mobile devices getting outsize of view-port, thanks @exlhost

@fln

DNSSEC button is out of range on mobile and the page is also not very mobile friendly.

Thanks @exlhost an update is released to make the links (and long headers in general) more mobile friendly.

Thank you, good job again. DirectAdmin only keeps getting better. I also notice a huge speed gain with this release.

@fln

The translation problems pointed out in the previous version (1.672) persist. There are several new hardcoded words, which create a bad impression and confusion for customers using other languages.

I'm monitoring /var/www/html/phpMyAdmin/log/auth.log for failed logins, but since this a few days (after installing 1.673) the log is gone and nothing seems to be logged anymore, even though I have used phpMyAdmin.

The bug/feature was introduced in 1.673.

Normally it wouldn't be a big deal but the rewrite_confs erases the directadmin-vhosts.conf file and then when the httpd-info.conf can't be copied it exits with a broken configuration.

I've gone into all my servers to clean up old configurations and move everything into the custom folder. Just a warning if anyone else is scratching their head why all sites are down.

I tried to make some tests and for me it looks OK and works like this:

- /var/www/html/phpMyAdmin/log/auth.log file is removed when you rebuild/reinstall PMA;
- /var/www/html/phpMyAdmin/log/auth.log is created automatically if you try log into PMA with the wrong credentials;
- information about failed login attempts is added into the file;
- if you use correct access information for PMA nothing is added into "auth.log".
