Hello

There is a small problem with my email configuration.
All the DNS settings are handled by Directadmin but the mail server itself is a Exchange 2010 server.
MX record mydomain.com 10
A record mydomain.com XX.XX.XX.XX
Also "Local Mail Server" is unchecked!
So i assume that's correct.

Still with all the mails send from the other domains on my DA server i get the same error message over and over:
"This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

*[email protected]
***all relevant MX records point to non-existent hosts"

However other external domains can mail perfectly and also all internal mail works just fine.

I have to mention that the DA server was handling all mails in the past from mydomain.com but i have changed that to Exchange…

Can anyone help me?

Show us your zone file, with no obfuscations. If you can't or don't want to do that then you'll probably need to hire one of us to fix this for you, or figure it out yourself.

@andrew.durnez,

Hello,

You might have an error in your DNS zone for the domain, check with nslookup or host how the domain is resolved from inside your server. Also you might want to check with www.intodns.com and make sure, that your domain is delegated correctly and all the NS servers have the same version of DNS zone.
