Directory Maildir

hello
my user have aproblem with Maildir folder! in this folder there is another folder call "new" its 1gb every time! also after idelete this folder which call new ,,after 2 minutes its 1gb again!
what can i do here please?

But there's really no need.

the new subdirectory contains unread messages; that's the location where exim delivers them.

Once they're read they're moved out of new into cur, unless the mail client deletes them. If you delete the contents of the new directory then you're deleting email. It's possible the user is being hit with an email attack.

Note that if you delete the contents of new you should delete the index files as well, and allow them to be rebuilt, or your user will have problems getting email.
