Directory tree view keeps disappearing

After the last update, every time I go to the file manager, the tree view doesn't show. So I click the icon and it shows up. Then I click a directory to see the files and the tree view disappears again. My settings have the tree view turned on. I talked to my hosting company and they say there's supposed to be an icon that configures it to stay open yet I see no such icon.

Can anyone please tell me how to keep the tree view open so it stops disappearing?

This forum is not intended for hosting customers, only for Directadmin license holders, so admins.
You hosting company should tell you where that icon is (if any) and provide you with support.
Some use their own themese, which is also a reason one has to ask the host.

I'm sorry, due to this line I thought you were a hosting customer. So I presume you are using a VPS/Server then from that hosting company.

Unfortunately I can't reproduce the problem you're having. Unless....

On the left site there is this icon (red arrow):

This is in Dutch but it's about the icons which are the same:

When you click on that, on the right side another panel opens.

Now in English this is probably named "Folder tree" and this button should be enabled as you can see.
But as far as I'm aware, this is enabled by default.

When I open a folder in the main screen, then in the smaller panel left, the folder tree is still visible.

If that is not what you mean, please supply some screenshots.
