whenever i create a new domain/user,

it doesn't get added to the /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf
it does however create zone files and everything else...

this occurred after i upgraded the direct admin from control panel.

anyone know how i can fix this?

BTW, server is running on Redhat Enterprise 3

*This is the post directly from our Server Admin, asking me to let you guys know how to resolve this issue:

DirectAdmin adds the domain's zone file, but does not add it into the configuration for BIND in /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf, and thus requires to be entered manually before the domain resolves.

My guess is that named is reading /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf but that DA is updating /etc/named.conf.

So perhaps what you need to do is delete /etc/named.conf, and create a symlink from /etc/named.conf to /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf.

However if you do that, be sure to manually update /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf from the contents of /etc/named.conf first.

Did I make sense?

Am I right?
