There really aren't any good tutorials for this, so here is what I used:
First make sure yourdomain.com has the nameservers pointed to your server. Then in DA - these are the dns settings to use
Notes:
replace xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with the IP of your server.
replace yourdomain.com with your domain name (make sure you have the period after domain names but not IP's)
PHP:
mail A xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
ns A xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
yourdomain.com. A xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
yourdomain.com. NS ns.yourdomain.com.
mail.yourdomain.com. MX 10
ftp CNAME yourdomain.com.
www CNAME yourdomain.com.
