DNS not Propagating Completely

Good morning,
I hope someone can assist.

We transferred a domain from Google to a Host recently, but last week Thursday e-mails stopped working and the domain as well.
Logged a call with the host after which they updated the DNS settings. External e-mails are now coming through, but internal emails and the website is not working still.
Propagation also only goes up to a certain point and then it stops.

When trying to add the accounts to outlook, gmail or any mail app it tells you that the email does not exist, yet e-mails can be accessed through round cube.
Note: emails from other domains with the same host also doesn't go through.

What are we missing?

Would you mind sharing the domain name? That would make it a lot easier to help you out. You can remove it after your issue is solved.

I can ping the server it is pointed to but it doesn’t work for this domain

For me your website is working (showing "our website is coming very soon") and your DNS records are resolving.

But when checking a global DNS lookup site (i.e. enter your domain name here: https://www.whatsmydns.net ) it seems like from a lot of locations the records are still not propagating. To me it looks like something is wrong at your DNS provider because it is taking way longer than it should for everything to propagate, so I would look into using your own nameservers if this is possible.

Oh dear... we are currently using the host, unfortunately my knowledge on DNS isn't great, do you have any recommendations on providers?

When did your host update DNS settings? It can take up to 24 hours for everything to propagate properly.

FAIL: I've found mail servers without A records:

    mail.gspindustries.com. → ?
To reach your mail servers via IPv4 an A record is needed for each mail server.

Looks to me like there's possibly some DNSSEC problems, which means DNS resolvers who are strict about DNSSEC will not resolve your domain (yay!), while those that don't care about DNSSEC will (boo!).

DNSSEC information is added to the registry and then your DNS server must sign the zone with that same information (or actually the other way around). Or you must remove DNSSEC entirely from the registry. In general I would recommend having DNSSEC though.

Edit: You can use tools such as https://dnssec-analyzer.verisignlabs.com/ to check for DNSSEC problems.

This is confusing me, who is controlling your DNS ?
Your screenshot is from DA and according my DNS check also your NS is controlling it

Our Host is Controlling it.
We transferred from Google Domains at the end of January.
10 February everything stopped working after which the host updated dns records.
External emails started working but internal emails and website still isn’t working.

Wondering if pointing the emails back to google workspace would do the trick?
I think the host is also at a loss.

Sorry if I’m going to sound like an idiot, should I send this to the host? Should they know how to fix this?

Be sure that the DNS record in your DA panel is the same as at your host (vehost.co.za)
It looks like that some DNS records are missing, can you make a screenshot from your DNS records from your user panel at your host ?

They should, but if they don't, the easiest way would be to remove the DNSSEC data from the registry (Namecheap). Then you/they can read up on how to enable DNSSEC before enabling it again.

In DirectAdmin it's a pretty simple interface to add DNSSEC to a DNS zone, and this information would be input somewhere at the registry/Namecheap.

Hi, yes please see the attached.
The moved the domain to another server now and propagation restarted again
Not sure if this is going to make it complete propagation

Looks good now, you have to wait and see.

But just to inform you. This forum is intended for DA customers, so admins and resellers. Not for end customers of hosters using Directadmin to get support here. The hosting provider should give you the support.
Your hosting provider should be the one to ask questions here if he has issues with this.

Luckily we have nice people here trying to fix your hosts issues, but if he can't fix these simple things, you might want to consider using another host.

It's also possible to use Gmail again als mail solution via the MX page, however, don't touch it. Let your host help you with that if needed. ;)

Sorry desperate times??
I’ve had websites since 2017 and this is literally the first time I’m posting on ANY forum?

I appreciate the help though, this was definitely a once off☺️

No problem, just wanted to inform you and ofcourse I understand the case of desperate times and fast solutions are needed. ;)
But it's a good way to determine how good support of your chosen host is (goes for any host).

I hope it's fixed now but if not I'm sure we're prepared to give some more tips if possible.
