DNS not updating?

I am having a problem with either DA or some services such as named and httpd.

I am running CentOS, and I used to be able to add domains and everything would work fine where I would update the nameserver on the domain and it pointed to server and worked perfectly. Now, whenever I do that, I HAVE to restart both named and httpd before the server will point to the right place.

One example is I add a domain similar to this, "sub.domain.com", and it would instantly be accessible. Now, I have to restart both named and httpd for it to point to it.

This problem is really puzzling me, and it would be great if someone would help me.

See if those services are turned on in your control panel.

Yeah, the services are always running. I just have to restart them when I add a domain.

I'd check with DirectAdmin support, as it should work.

I have the exact same problem. When i restart manually named I get this on the domain.
Apache is functioning normally
When restart the httpd, I can get the domain resolved correctly.

My support had expired so can anyone help me?
