Hi there. I've got this problem where my nameservers are missing from IP management and the reseller level. None of my free IP's are listed to recreate the nameservers.

Apache 2.2.11 Running
DirectAdmin Running
Exim 4.67 Running
MySQL 5.0.67 Running
Named 9.5.1 Running
ProFTPd 1.3.1 Running
sshd Running
dovecot 1.1.14 Running

I think there may have been some update that someone ran here, but I'm not too sure. Now I'm in a situation where most things do not work. Any Ideas?

Since nameservers shouldn't be listed under IP management at the admin level, and at the reseller level when you click on the Nameservers link you should see an opportunity to create nameservers, I'm not sure what you mean.

Do you mean that the IP#s used by your nameservers are missing? If so:

See if you can reach your server using the nameserver IP#s.

See if you can add those IP#s.

Once you add those IP#s, if the nameservers don't start appearing in your interface, then you can try adding them again, at the reseller level.

It's probably not what I'd call a DNS problem.

The update...

What I was trying to say is that no IP's were assigned to any reseller, and I was unable to bind to any IP because none were "free" to do so.

I made a backup with the transfer feature and deleted the affected reseller. Then restored that user and everything has gone back to normal. Not sure as to the original cause, but life seems good at the moment.

thanks for your help.
