Hi,
I have a client that has just got hosting from us. He wants to use us as his provider but the person that has built his website wants to host the website on their server.

So, I have enabled access to his "DNS Records" so he can edit them and point it to the web site. He has aksed me to do it but I have never done this before and I am not clear on what records I need to edit so that it points to his new website on someone elces sever.

Example: Can anyone tell me where I add (or change) the IP addresses?

I hope this makes sense

Thanks

1. Go to the account of the user.
2. Go to DNS Management. (if it's not enabled you need to enable it for the account first)
3. Add a new A-record for "www" with the IP of the server where the website will be hosted.
delete the old "www" reference, the one pointing to your server IP.
4. Wait a couple of hours (for DNS to propagate) and if the other servers is configured properly everything will work.

Regards,
