We have 11 sites throughout our network we have internal control over the DNS zones. How would we configure 8 sites to replicate with AD and 3 sites to replicate as stand alone so we have independent zone configuration control on these sites that we can keep as stand alone.

Thanks

I don't have any idea and I doubt if many of the rest of us in this community have any idea, since AD is a Microsoft product and this forum is for users of DirectAdmin, a linux/unix based product.

We use The Berkeley Internet Name Daemon to handle our DNS, and most of us probably stay as far away from AD as possible.

There's a good article on connecting to AD from linux in the December issue of Linux Pro Magazine (Linux Magazine outside the U.S.A.) It's actually very easy, because all AD really is, is Microsoft's attempt to create proprietary version of LDAP.

Or in other words, you're in the wrong place. :D
