Hello,

I currently have a RH9 box with DA on it. Can I transfer DA to the new box with Fedora on it. Of course I will terminate the existing RH9 box if I can transfer all without much trouble. The alternative is to leave RH9 and use Progeny service. Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Phil

If it were me, I'd go for something besides Fedora, as Fedora is a very fast moving distribution and is neither designed nor intended for commercial use.

I'd use WBEL (see the website here).

Otherwise I'd stick with RH9 and Progeny Transition Service. In fact we currently use RH/Progeny on several servers.

To answer your question, yes, it will work.

DA Backups work on the basic DA setup - bind/exim/apache/proftpd/etc.... all supported OS's run the same software, and use same configurations as far as im aware.
