domain pointer and e-mail sending

i have the following problem:

1 domain and 1 pointer(domain1.com and domain2.com). the user is user in this example

when we send mail from [email protected] it works great. when we send mail from [email protected] it doesnt.

logfiles dont tell me that much.

when i split the domains when removing the domain pointer and adding it as a seperate domain it works (ofcouse)

what am i doing wrong, is it a known problem and what is the fix / workaround?

How do you try to send emails? Try webmail, it should work.

Why don't the logfiles tell you much? Is it because they're empty, or because the emails don't show up in them, or because you don't know how to read and understand them?
