Hello,

I'm user of DirectAdmin offer by my webhosting.
I love "Domain pointer" to manage severals domain name

However, i cannot pointed to an specific directory qhen i add a new domain pointer

example:

#########################################

http://www.english_user.com will be pointed on my home web site : http://www.mainsite.com/
>>> (thats's ok, it work properly)

http://www.french_user.com will be pointed on "french" directory of my main web site : http://www.mainsite.com/french/

>>> (i didn't not make working because no opportunity to choose the directory destination)

#########################################

Does directadmin have a future project to make it possible to choose the destination directory on "Domain Pointer" ???

Thank you !

Mmm, didn't find an answer on this one yet.

Isn't it possible that a domainpointer for, let's say: "extradomain.com" is aliassed for the main domain "domain.com" and that subdomains for "extradomain.com" resolve (and redirect) to the correct directory as for "domain.com" ?

subdomain cannot make requested job...

it would be possible to indicate to the pointer the directory where the domain pointer would have pointed but this option is not available at this moment.

It is possible to make would be enough that directadmin add an field to indicate directory where the domain pointer must pointed.

Thus :

englishwebsite.com as domainpointer to English directory of mainsite.com would give :
mainsite.com/English/

directly each time that englishwebsite would be reached

all files reached in the same case would work properly too :
englishwebsite.com/file.php

would give :
mainsite.com/English/file.php

automatically by the domainpointer configuration
There is not an request of subdomain but an domainpointer job
