Domain problems

How do you publish the domain on the web? I published a index page for my site but when I go to put the domain in the address bar it doesn't show up it says the page is not found.

Also when I go look at the public_html in the site manager, I uploaded the index page to that folder but it doesn't come up in there.

Since you didin't give us our domain name information we can't help you troubleshoot the problem.

1) What is your domain name?

2) does your hosting company use the DirectAdmin control panel?

3) Have you made any changes to DNS in your control panel?

4) Have you gotten a list of nameservers to use from your hosting company?

5) If so, have you gone to your registrar, and entered those nameservers where you registered your domain name?

Good answers to these questions will quickly pinpoint the problem.

5) my hosting company and domain company are the same thing, its dietzel and dietzel, the nameservers were already register with the domain name. I checked on that with the DNS Management in the control panel and it has the right nameservers

I want to my site using my IP address and username and that worked but it won't work using my domain address

Your whois record says your nameservers are:

dns1.dietzel1.com
dns2.dietzel1.com
dns3.dietzel1.com
dns4.dietzel1.com

Is that what they should be? If not change them to the right nameservers.

All four nameservers point your domain to 66.98.145.18. Is that correct? If not, then have your hosting company resolve this.

Doing a reverse DNS lookup on the IP#, I find that the domain name assigned to the IP# is mercury.orderbox-domainforward.com. Is perhaps some kind of forwarder setup?
