Domain/User with website on other Non DA server?

I have a user that is currently hosted on multiple servers, DNS on one, mail on another and web somewhere else.

Is it possible for me to setup a new DA user with only this domain in it, then repoint website elsewhere in the DA DNS but continue to use DA for mail, DNS etc?

Basically, I don't host the website portion of their account, but I host everything else.

Is DA going to get all twisted up if I repoint the a record and the www and ftp to some other server?

But yes, this is possible.

Point with A records to the ip's where ftp and http is running on.

I thought you also wrote you wanted DNS and mail on the DA server?
