Hi everyone

Is there any step by step instruction on how to install/enable Domain Keys? My mails kept on ending in Yahoo's spam folder.

I think the key might be ... are we forced to use it to get some of our mail accepted by the big guys?

Unless the big guys stop requiring domainkeys (and I don't think they will) we can still benefit from it.

Unfortunately it requires local serverlevel compile of exim, which taxes server resources and takes a long time.

Do you mean other optional ways to install it along with exim? No. Do you mean other options besides using domain keys? If you want your mail to be accepted by the big boys, then you may have to jump through their hoops.

Jeff

Hi,

other options aside from domain keys. yahoo is really a pain in..... :(

You'd have to get information from Yahoo postmasters as to what they look for. And of course for each other large provider as well. Yes, I agree with your sentiment.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you very much. Im now emailing yahoo and hoping to be whitelisted.
fingers crosed. :)

We had a similar problem the middle of last week, caused by a problem with UebiMiau on one of our servers. That server is now being accepted by yahoo again. I think they automatically block for only a period of time and then unblock.

Don't SPF records do almost the same thing and SO much easier?

Matt

SPF and domainkeys are different. Even your domain has SPF record, the chances your emails go to Yahoo bulkmail is large
