Domains not properly being created

I just started leasing a dedicated server running Debian and DA. The box is doubling as the DNS server.

When I click on User Level, I'm forced to add a domain (understandable). When I do, I get no errors from DA and it states the domain was created correctly. However, when I go to the web to view the new websitew, all I get is the default Apache web page, not the DA Welcome page.

I check the logs and I see some TimeStamp errors, but the system time is correct.

Any ideas?
 
Try restarting apache and check to make sure the httpd.conf for your user is being included in the main httpd.conf file.
And also verify the correct paths in the user's httpd.conf

The user httpd.conf are stored in their respective directories in /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/
 
Thanks for your suggestion.

The include is there, it's pointing to all the correct directiories, and the cirrect directories exist.

I think it's an IP/DNS setting issue, but I'm getting no help from the company I'm leasing the box from. Maybe switching to another service provider is the answer.
 
If you provide one of the domains that is having this issue we might it might bring the cause to the surface.
 
mrwebshop.com is the only one there now.

I would be happy to provide you w/what-ever access you like. There are no production sites running on it yet. I've had the box for two weeks and the company I'm leasing from has all but deserted me.

The default page that loads for me is Apache2. It might be possible the process for upgrading to Apache2 was not completely followed through with. Reverting back to apache 1 or redoing the upgrade might fix the problem.

If the company you rent the server from won't help you and you don't feel comfortable doing the work yourself, then you might want to look into hiring a server administrator.
