dovecot does not work

Hi ,
I have a new installation to the server. I installed the new but DirectAdmin dovecot does not work. Looking DirectAdmin Service Monitor

dovecot Process is stopped

I'm trying with SSH still does not work.

[root @ server /] # service dovecot stop
[root @ server /] #

[root @ server /] # service dovecot start
[root @ server /] #

[root @ server /] # service dovecot restart
[root @ server /] #

[root @ server /] # service dovecot status
[root @ server /] #


Server system:
CentOS 5.3

errors were corrected by the resolution of the DA support. solutions in the following way.

Are there any errors in your /var/log/maillog file?

Also check the boot script.. as it might be empty:

ls -la /etc/init.d/dovecot

if it's empty, type:

wget -O /etc/init.d/dovecot http://files.directadmin.com/services/custombuild/dovecot.boot
chmod 755 /etc/init.d/dovecot
