Hello.
I need help.

How to set up authorization encryption in Dovecot?
"plaintext" is not suitable.

I want to customize Directadmin + exim + dovecot =encryption cram-md5
 
Not the answer you're after, but: Plaintext is fine, as long as the connections are protected with SSL/TLS.

Also CRAM-MD5 is obsolete/deprecated.

So what is the best way to work around this if there are many (long time) users using different email clients with different setups to connect to the servers.

If CRAM-MD5 is depreciated what about the others in the auth_mechanisms line below?

Has anyone added the below to dovecot.conf on DA yet and if so what is needed to make the non-depreciated ones work?
auth_mechanisms = plain login digest-md5 cram-md5 apop

or only is the correct way to go only auth_mechanisms = plain login over SSL/TLS?
