Dovecot LMTP high CPU

Hi!
It had a problem with Dovecot, where it consumed 100% of the CPU, in the log it showed the error "(Out of memory (service lmtp {vsz_limit = 512 MB}, you may need to increase it)"
So we increased the memory, after that the error did not show up again but Dovecot still produces high CPU consumption, and when I check the log there are the following errors

"master: Error: service (pop3-login): Initial status notification not received in 30 seconds, killing the process"
"lmtp: Fatal: master: service (lmtp): child 7391 killed with signal 9"

What can be? A brute force attack?

Might mean someone was sending a really big email or the inbox is super big.

What's the default vsz limit

doveconf | grep default_vsz_limit

This might help

du -ah /home/*/imap/*/*/Maildir/cur | sort -rh | head -10

Thanks for answering. The default vsz_limit is 2048MB, initially it was 512MB and gave an error.

Now what I did was update the Dovecot, for now it's working fine

Dovecot 1 to 2 broke mail system. Help :-(
