I'm running DA on a virtual server, I haven't had any problems with it until I build a new Virtual server and moved all my accounts to this new server.

My old server used IMAPd and my new server is using dovecot. It seems that my clocksync is not working well, even after installing VM Additions for Linux.

The timesync is not so far off, so I dont feel like building a new server, I'm more thinking in moving from dovecot to imapd, but have no idea how to do this.

Is there a way to do this (found an instruction from imapd to dovecot, but not the other way arround)

No sanctioned way to move backwards. You can try one yourself. Don't forget you'll have to create mbox files for all your email now stored in Maildir.

This really isn't the way to go; it won't solve the problem with your time being off and it could cause problems for clients with large mbox files and later as Direct moves IMAPd from deprecated to no longer supported.

And now on to your real problem: the time.

Is your host server time correct?

Jeff

Solved the problem by migrating from MS Virtual Server to VMware. Clock is synchronising good and the dovecot problem dissapeared competely.
