download database problem

Hi,
When in MySQL management I have the option to download database , i download a gz zip file in 1 kilobyte !
my db have 45000 table in it and i know that size of this db is more than 100 mb , now how can i download backup of my db ???
i use freeBSD
Apache 2.2.8
DirectAdmin 1.31.4
MySQL 5.0.37

please help about this
