Duplicate mail in inbox---> upgrade to dovecot...

Hi

I have the mailproblem wich is resolved in the Knowledge base http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=104

My question is when we upgrade to Dovecot what happens to the excisting mail on the server?

And when running Dovecot can we use all the mailoptions within DA (like webmail...)???

With an upgrade do Dovecot all existing mails will be converted to the new maildir format and are still available after the upgrade. I suggest you to wait to the next da release 1.26.3 because there's a much better message converter included.

Of course you could use all mailoptions (like webmail) also with dovecot, it's just another daemon for imap und pop, that's all
