hey all,
I did some searching and found a string with similarities to the problems that we are facing here. I have a dedicated server using DA, and get duplicate e-mails for specific users.
Now after some research in the forums i turned up this string, while it did not offer much insight it at least opened up the door. http://www.directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3449
Here is the exact problem I am having and how we established a baseline for it.
User #1 uses outlook only, they have no problem at all... Mails do not duplicate.
User #2 uses Squirrelmail only, again no e-mail duplication problem.
User #3 ( typical exec ) uses outlook and Squirrelmail, e-mails duplicate.
To further push the envelope I have tested this on Multiple platforms using DA and found identical results.
Example: if i use outlook during the day and my mail is set to "stay on the server for 3 days", when I go home I check mail mail via the web interface, then I go to work in the morning as ususal, I open my outlook walla here comes 3 days worth of duplicate mail, all over again.
I can duplicate this anytime anywhere. Does anyone have a solution for this, as this issue has really seemed to pop it's head up lately as I did not notice it beofre in previous versions of DA, or even other CP's.
The amount of users on this server is around 750 REAL e-mail accounts, and of those around 50 -75 are affected by this, 4 of those being the top management...
Thoughts ?
