E-mail aliases

Hi DirectAdmin Forums,


I have a question regarding email aliases. One of our clients has an internal policy for email formatting where the main email address is in the format [email protected], but they would like to use an alias in the format [email protected] (where "u" is the first letter of the username).


Does DirectAdmin offer any options or flexibility to configure email aliases in this way?

Manual create the forwarder via GUI doesn't work ?

note: after create the forwarder, client can receive or sending as sender ( alias ) fine.

Just to confirm — does this mean I need to create a new email account and then set up a forwarder to achieve the alias format?

if you already have main email account, you can create the forwarder to it anyway.

If you meant, client using current email as "[email protected]",
so just create the forwarder "[email protected]" and "[email protected]" to "[email protected]"
