Evening,

Since a few days iam having some trouble with the email on my DA server, it all worked before and havent changed anything to the server.
Customers can receive their email, but cant sent email back.

I was checking the exim log files, but its not generating an error code when people are trying to send an email.

What to do? anyone have an suggestion?

Well you better look again.

Check /var/log/exim/mainlog /var/log/exim/rejectlog and /var/log/exim/paniclog

It definately will be logging something.

This isn't enough of a problem description.

Do clients get an error message? Is the mail accepted but then not delivered? Does the client eventually get the message back as non-delivered?

Does this happen for one client or all or many?

Make shure your server ip (that exim use to send e-mail) is not blacklisted by RBL (spam) databases. Maybe some outgoing e-mails will be rejected on the destination server.

You can check your IP's with MXtoolbox:

Ucreation,

Thank you so much for recommending our Blacklist Lookup tool. Identifying if your server is Blacklisted or not can eliminate several issues with your server. Our tool can also send you auto alerts if the server is down, blacklisted etc. Its free to sign up, so give it a try.

Also if you can provide some additional details about your issue (bounce backs, errors on the server?) maybe we could help a bit more.

Thanks,
MxToolBox Support
